Resistance Necklace- a custom design Necklace Raises Money for supporting Planned Parenthood
The Booklyn based Jewellery designer Arcana Obscura who specializes in making esoteric inspired Jewellery has now custom designed a necklace that symbolizes resistance to Trump’s agenda for defunding Planned Parenthood. This is a jewelry that is unique in its own rights and also makes a political statement at the same time.
The design borrows the remnants of the tiny good hanger on the chain that designer’s grandmother wore while she was growing up. This vintage design characteristic has created a new jewel that symbolizes the fight for protecting women’s reproductive rights. The designer calls the necklace as protest or resistance Necklace.
Arcana Obscura on Monday this week claimed that 20 percent of the sales on Etsy Shop or Acrana Obscura’s home website will be donated for the cause. Until now 50 percent of the sales have come from people who support Planned Parenthood. Many of the buyers of this jewellery have claimed that the custom design of the necklace combines the art of photography, gravestones, cemeteries, and death. This dark yet inspiring ornament has pushed other famous designers like Paloma Picasso, Suhani Pittie and Farah Ali Khan to come up with their own designs that support different causes of uplifting women’s rights.
The Arcana Obscura Jewellery designing mostly consists of elements such as scarabs, swords, snakes, and other scared symbols. Her art of jewellery may not be for everyone. But there are dedicated people who love the modern and vintage complexity designs and appreciate her for her dedication to support the protest against Trump administration.
